New position

January 28, 2007

Actually, I was bored(as always) this afternoon and tried another position for the system unit and stuff… It looked fine so, I decided to leave it that way. I am getting ready cuz I’ll be getting a 17″ LCD monitor and already reserved a Samsung 17″. But before that, I think I’ll search for an LCD monitor which has a built-in video input so that I won’t need a television for my room. The tv is for connecting my portable DVD player anyway. so, there’s no need for me to have a tv with cable connection. I don’t watch tv that much anyway.

moving to animeblogger.net

January 26, 2007

I know that I don’t review animes too much. The reason I want to move to animeblogger.net was that I wanted to try what animeblogger feels like. I post animes, games or figures photos anyway so, there’s nothing wrong joining animeblogger. Already e-mailed maestro about the requirements last week and replied. Thanks to Rdrake for maestro’s e-mail btw.

Anyway, I found something funny after viewing DC’s otakuvids. It’s titled Final Fantasy Otaku. Funny how they imitated FF7’s battle scene…

HECKtic day…

January 22, 2007

Today was just so hectic. Assembling and purchasing pc parts this afternoon. I thought that the motherboard I ordered from my aunt last saturday won’t be delivered, but after giving them a call, it suddenly arrived but the carrier didn’t know that the package had arrived in their office and been delivered to our store.

After the motherboard arrived, I hastily went to the next office where the computer is located to assemble the easy parts and waited for the trusted technician to arrive since he’s still doing something.  Then after going to the bank, went to a shop to buy a 40GB ide hdd. I chose an ide instead of a sata cuz it has 40gb ide but no 40gb sata. If I get an 80gb sata, it would go waste since the office pc is only used for word processing and it only takes a little space to store a document.  Good thing that the parts haven’t been sold out yet since I went to ask a few pc maniacs like me if they would like to buy second hand parts.

I noticed that I’ve been highly addicted to L33T computer parts these past few months. Anyway, after the technician arrived, continued assembling the complicated parts and installing the OS and needed softwares for the store to use. I wouldn’t be practicing if it wasn’t been for the ancient pc in the office… Imagine, still using a win98 pentium processor and only 64mb? hahah…funny.

Finally learned the basic Rss codes. Check my homepage to see what I mean.

Since today is the 1st day of the year, or new year, which means a holiday. My Dad decided to take us to the Dolphin Island with the whole family and our uncle’s family. We left home at 11-ish in the morning and arrived at the marine park at 11:30am.

There, while waiting for the uncle to arrive, We went to see the animals. There were so many new animals being donated there by various people from other places. Here are the pics taken of some animals.

We didn’t go deeper on the animals area since after taking this Croc’s pic, our uncle had arrive at the park. We then went to the waiting shed 15km ahead where we must cross the wooden bridge which is a good idea for people on diet or digesting. There, we registered for a ticket and wait for the boat to leave the park. They won’t leave the park unless passengers exceed the minimum capacity, that’s at least 12 passengers. After the boat left the park, we arrived there for 13mins and just listening to jpop songs on my psp. Actually, this is the second time we went there and almost completed, what’s left is the generator for electricity. As we arrived, these were the pics that I took before having our lunch.

Our transportation from the park to the island. Also known as “Lansa”, a big brother of “Bangka”. Dunno what it’s called in english.

07.jpg
Bottlenose-spotted dolphins. I only took a photo of them in two’s cuz they don’t swim in groups just like the last time we went there. There is also another type of dolphin where it has no beak and looked like a shark all alone and grouped with them in the pen.

08.jpg
These two dolphines were on a separate pen cuz they were being beaten by the rest of its own kind. Not all dolphins with the same type are friendly with each other, you know. But I was wondering why they didn’t bother to beat the shark-like dolphin considering that he/she was all alone and not of the same type as the separated dolphins.

09.jpg
The last time we went to the island, the shark-like dolphin was placed on the other side separated with the bottlenose dophins. Also, I didn’t see the Hawksbill turle anywhere and the pen that it was placed is now filled with Tuna-s reminding me of Sashimi.

At lunch, We had Fish Teriyaki, Garlic Chicken, Half-cooked Kinilaw, and a Steamed Fish. The food was so delicious especially the Garlic Chicken and the Fish Teriyaki. It was great but not cheap cuz the cheapest viand was at Php190.00… Even their refreshments were expensive. Junk foods from other stores are mostly Php5.00 – 30.00, while theirs was Php20.00 and above.

10.jpg
The restaurant where we had our lunch. The problem with the island is their water supply. They don’t have water to wash your ass in their toilet and they didn’t put any toilet paper, a BIG prob for people who love shitting!.. They also have to take a big barrel of clean water from the park for kitchen-use.

11.jpg
This is the place where divers, swimmers, etc hang themselves. They also have rental for Kayaks, swimming/diving goggles, flippers, safety jacket.Kayaking costs Php100.00/hr, Goggles and snorkels @ Php50.00/hr and Scuba diving for Php1000.00/hr with complete gear, of course considering the given shitty price.

12.jpg
The hut where swimmers go in order to reach the white sand island and for swimming. Also where Kayaks and Rubber Rafts are stored.

13.jpg
The white sand where my uncle and his two kids went and where my Dad swam.

These were the only pictures that I could upload cuz the rest of the photos were not good enough. I took 41 shots but these 13 were the only good ones. Better do something about my sucky photography skills.

Anyway, We went back to the island after the uncle, kids and my Dad came back. We left the marine park at 4:00pm and arrived home at 4:25pm. There are still tons of things or views on the island that I couldn’t take with the cam due to my lousy photography skills. hope that I can get better with my photography next time… try to visit the island when visiting here. It would be a great relaxation for busy bodies.
